Over the past couple of weeks I have been working on my entry for the TF2maps.net annual contest. My entry into the contest will be set at night in the midst of a torrential storm, this PLR map will offer visually delicious contrasts between dark and the warm glow of lights emitted from surrounding buildings.

It will be a hybrid gamemode that’s essentially a Payload Race map with a twist.

There will be 3 stages; 2 of which are identical in layout but styled according to each team; 1 of which the race takes place. The map starts out in the middle stage where the race takes place. The winner of the race begins the next round within the enemy team’s base and has to push their cart to the final point whilst the losing team have to defend and prevent the cart from reaching the point.

Some maps currently in development have already adapted this gamemode and I can’t help but see it becoming popular once a few good maps are designed for it. :)

Here’s my progress so far. It’s only Stage 1 so far. Further stages will be added later on into development.

You can download Alpha 2 here.

Alongside myself, the new members included Andrew; creator of TF2 map cp_gydan; ArthurT; creator of CTF_Aerospace; and Bobby who recently released HL2 SP mod ‘Calamity’
Over the past month for Decadence I’ve been working on Pipeline which has already been through a couple [...]

Today I’ve re-designed my whole website and I hope you find it to be quite pretty and awesome. Also, I’ve added this; ‘Crates and Corridors’ – a blog about, well, level-design.
I’ll start off with this…

Thanks to Mr.Mof for this brilliant poster.
